RizeUp Gaming is a non-profit organization established in 2012 that strives to make the gaming community a better place. Each month we host charity marathon to raise funds for various charities, ranging from getting water to undeveloped countries to sending games and entertainment to our soldiers overseas.

RizeUp Gaming is focused on finding people that can play various games and adhere to a strict safe code of gaming conduct. No sexist, racist, demeaning, or otherwise offensive remarks of any kind.

“I was sitting around the house on a July day and watched as my son was trolled for 45 minutes straight in a League of Legends game. There were all kinds of vile slurs, trolling, and harassment going on. I was so upset,” says RizeUp Gaming founder, Russell Grisham. “My wife turned to me and said, ‘You never used any of those specific slurs, but you were a troll once too. That was you.’ Then it hit me. She was right, and it was time for a change. That’s when I knew I had to start RizeUp Gaming.”
Russell “Rev” Grisham

Our hope is to one day have someone in gaming change their disrespectful ways and show love and compassion to all players. Even if we only help one person improve their ways, our job is complete.

We are always looking for new members who are willing to help us with our mission.

Rize Up Gaming is a family of streamers, podcasters, and all around awesome people trying to curb cyber-bullying, sexism, racism, bigotry, and all manner of vileness in all gaming communities. We promote tolerance, oppose discrimination and prejudice, and attempt to create healthier communities for future gamers. We believe everyone is equal in gaming. No matter your skill, race, religion, creed, sexual preference or disability: You are welcome here and loved.

We attempt to educate anyone who is willing to listen in the ways of getting along with others with at least a modicum of respect. “Treat others the way you would like to be treated” is one of our mottos.

The rules we strive to live by and practice in all of our online (and offline) communities are as follows:

  1. No racism, sexism, bullying, hate-speech, homophobic slurs, bigotry or any vile or unhealthy attitudes towards yourself or others.
  2. No harassment towards anyone. Ever. It’s never warranted in any shape or form.
  3. Be nice to each other. You don’t know what someone else is going through.
  4. Show respect. You want respect? You need to earn it by showing respect for others.
  5. It’s never a joke when you hurt someone else’s feelings.
  6. Never be afraid to ask for help. There are many people who (while not being professionals) are willing to lend an ear, or to help you out.
  7. There is a fine line between being funny and being rude. Don’t cross that line.
